Godzilla Boy gets a mention in Jimmy Misanthrope’s Webcomic of the Year roundup.
Yes indeedy, Jimmy Misanthrope has very graciously included my very own Godzilla Boy in his Best Webcomics of 2008, which can be found here. I quote “Godzilla Boy!
One of life’s downtrodden neon victims, the character Godzilla Boy is the epitome of a square peg in a world full of unforgiving round holes. There’s a depth of pathos contained withing the twisted, surreal snapshots into GB and his sad existence that one mightn’t expect to discover in a comic about a guy in a Godzilla costume, but its there, and its brilliant.
ZombieHamster once told me that he “hates his characters, and they deserve to suffer”, which is fine and dandy with me, as suffer they do, and suffer they do well.” – How awesome is that? I was very happy to see this and it made my day!
There are some other great webcomics of note mentioned.
Jimmy’s own Agents of the Endtimes can be nabbed here and is well worth a gander. One of my personal favourites from the list is Platinum Grit which is one of the best webcomics I have read in a long time.
I did also spend a ridiculous amount of time today reading the adventures of the Cool Cat Studio.
Gisele Lagase’s art is just so sharp and beautiful, but also very reminiscent of Archie comics (of which I have a secret love)
this is a highly recommended little tale, which really takes off after the initial few months.

So you could do a lot worse than investigate a few of these, hit Jimmy’s link to explore his favourites and let me know what you all think. If you know of other worthy titles for me to explore, plese hit me up with some links. Right, now I’m off to finish a picture I started.
