As I have been working for up to 18 hours a day recently. I have not been home much to comment on all of this. As I have to run now, I am posting this, which I sent to Dan Le Sac this afternoon, I think that it surmises my overall feelings on the subject. I shall be around more from tomorrow and so hopefully, normal service will be resumed as soon as possible. Take care…..ZH
Good day to you Mr Le Sac & Mr Pip.
I do apologise for the lateness of any response on the subject from myself. Things have been hectic of late and so free time has been a rather alien concept. Primarily, I would like to state that I have nothing but admiration for the work that you do and this has been the case for quite some time, please do not dismiss this as sycophancy, for it is the truth. I have a collection of your indepenently released 7″s and have been introducing people to your music and videos since early 2007 when I first heard your work. Incidently, the first time that I heard it was through Akira the Don and Wade Crescent’s Stunners 130 reworking of the Knifehandchop remix of Thou Shalt Always Kill.

I also spent close to a month of this year working on a comic for Mr Pip. I chose to do this as the piece by Mr Pip from which I was working held a great deal of personal significance and I thought that the way in which the subject matter was handled was both realistic, significant and eloquent.
Where there is creativity in any form; literary, visual or otherwise, there will always be grounds for comparisson with other works. Never has this been more prevelant than with our generation, where personalities are diluted and almost replaced by an amalgamation of our influences.
So, if similarities have emerged between two visual concepts that are aesthetically equivalent, can this be avoided? I don’t know, to be honest. I created my little green bastard to represent childlike innocence and goodness, a different view of life, something that can be lost within an harsh and unforgiving world. I hold no animosity nor grievance that a similar character has appeared within your video.
My only despondancy lies in the fact that whilst this was a developing character, I have a large amount of current work on Godzilla Boy which was yet to be posted and to be honest, I’m just not sure if it is worth my while now. For will it always be seen now as a ripoff of the character from your video? There is no solution to this and I don’t expect any from you, that is a decision that I will have to make myself.
I am not a fan of squabbling, pettiness or pointless arguing. I am satisfied that you were not familiar with the work and I appreciate you making comment on the subject. Let us put it down to an unfortunate coincidence.
With that, I shall bid you good day and leave you with best wishes.
